  14. Some nice touches on the car NZ.

I especially like the large tube headers.
A little different, but very good looking.

A just can't believe the skill, time and dedication some rich people put into tennis ball holders. Next you'll probably build a mansion in Beverly Hills to store your raquets. Sheesh, it's just a game! [IMG]

    Count Yorga,
You're way off base and out of line. the current RRT (Rodding Round Table is in no way connected to the old Rodder's Round Table, has none of the trouble makers from the old table and most of the current members are also members here.
So put a sock in it. [IMG]

If you're talking to me, I don't understand.

And if you're talking to NZ, I don't understand that either.
I've been watching his car come together for a while and he's done some impressive stuff.

Good work and good design are just that.
    Regardless of car type/style....

I didn't get it either at first (I think it's the general feeling of pissiness that seems to be pervading the HAMB lately that's clouding my judgement)...

But that's pretty funny Smokin... [IMG]

Glad to see someone got the joke. I'll bet 80% of the injected cars I've seen over the years had tennis balls. To keep the birds from shitting in them while they're power parked I guess. Great on the drag strip cars, but most can't get them running on the street cars so they push them out of the trailer into the preferred photo op spot and stick the tennis balls in the stacks. How often do you see the wicked, mean, badass looking Hilborn injected cars actually cruising around the grounds at an event or pulling into cruise night under their own power? Most of them are just very expensive tennis ball holders. [IMG]

My hat's off to those few that can actually make injectors run on the street.

vaphead the post you made reveals quite nicely who the dork is

I kind of expected rude remarks that's why I posted on the RRT and just gave a hint to those that have been following the build here I won't bother again

The stacks are not actually injectors they are still in the original position they are just throttle bodies the tennis balls are just to stop crap from falling down the hole untill I can figure out some form of air cleaner

I am part way there I found some tea strainers that are exactly the right size that I can glue in to the trumpets

Thanks Jay They are kinda big being 2" and the motor only 4L but the right sized ones looked dumb
I also wanted them on the outside as I am not a fan of the subtle approach I mean whats subtle about a hot rod ? so didn't want the exhausts running under the car not to mention the basically lazy part of me that thinks it is harder to do that way [IMG]
Still have a few nightmares to work out but getting there

Normally, I don't really like to see cars like this on the HAMB. We are what we say we are: traditional guys.

That said, Simon has done pretty much ALL of this work himself and I for one think it's kind of neat to see his progress every now and then. It's not like he's posting images every week...

I know some hardcore guys will be down on me, but let me get away with this one - you can turn your head and ignore the posts.

But don't worry... The HAMB will die a traditional hot rod board. Promise.

  28. Thanks, progress looks good! Plus, it is better than 10 posts asking someone to photochop a 4 door 64 Plymouth!
