I never liked the sound of my '30 with the old glasspacks that were on it, it was just too quiet and weak sounding. After looking at all of the options I could find that would fit in the space I had to work with I settled on Porter shortys. They're only slightly longer than the old mufflers so installation was a breeze. They sound great with a nice rumble at idle and at steady speeds that opens up and growls under heavy throttle, a big improvement over the old ones! For reference, it's a SBC with block hugger headers and 2"pipes and the mufflers are mounted in the middle of the exhaust pipes. You can hear them here - https://youtube.com/shorts/2hR2pobb17s?si=3eVJypgXivLbSwrZ - I think I need to make another video, the way the phone was sitting was blocking the mic.
Last night I saw a short video about new Porter shorty mufflers with a 1.75 inlet and outlet. They looked stainless??
You can get them in stainless but they cost 50% more. The website says 2" inlets/outlets are the smallest. Mine are 2" and they slipped right over the 2" pipes. Porter’s Shorty Mufflers – Porter Mufflers

I believe the shorty stainless with the 1.75 exits are a collaboration with millworks/ old yankee speed shop. I saw them yesterday as well

Well... this may be an option going forward for me. I had cherry bombs, quite obnoxious. I went to Dynomax turbos, much better for now.
