I know where some old railroad ties are if you need a matching rear bumper Looks pretty complete and straight.
RockyJr, Nice truck! Love them Dodge trucks man. Now tell me about that 4 door sedan next to it? HAHAH
Wow! Does that bring back memories! My first attempt at a hot rod was exactly one of those. In the late 70s I bought a basket case at an auction. Yours is in pretty good shapr, but mine had a better grille. I had it fenderless with a M-II front end and 9-inch rear axle. I think the engine and fenders may be in my dad's garage somewhere. But it came down to either finishing that or engineering school. I chose the latter. Now I'm back to building a hot rod. Good luck and post lots of pictures.
Hey that truck is neat I'm in love with it. To bad you'r not in CA or I'd invite you to come and pick up a free 47 Plymouth complete motor and tranny. Good luck with the project.
...nice Mopar truck and thanks for all the great pics. I'd put a good drivetrain in it and drive it as is....maybe some cool door lettering as a shop/speed shop truck; leave that neat pushboard on front...an your done!
A fine start! I've been trying to talk Mrs Rocky's cousin outa this 37 Plymouth for many years and now it's delapidated into scrap. The grille is still ok tho but I cannot get the guy to budge on it....
nice dodge, looks a lot straighter outa the weeds. I've got a 34 ford in about the same condition I'll bet yours is done before mine Mark
HAHAHA...I wonder if I could pass of railroad tie bumpers as a lowering kit? I think it looks pretty kool....if I had a race car I'd be thinking push-car.
the sedan is in pretty rough shape the top is crunched pretty bad...I'd like to have it too though...i'd make a kool phaton. But it's not for sale or i'd have brought a second trailer.

I'm trying to decide if I want to pay for a hemi or a 440 which I'm pretty sure I can get really cheap.
I wish all you cali guys would move closer to kansas you guys are hoggin all the really kool stuff fer yerselves.
Maybe you should dig through the Mrs old photo albums...maybe there's some family pix that he'd hate to have made public. some might call it blackmail but let's just call it leverage.
I'd like to see some pix, I'll bet it's a slick pickup. I'm really strapped for time these days but I've got my dad's help. He's on the verge of retirement and if that happens we'll have it done real quick.
RockyJr, I've got some pics of my 34 but I'm new here and not sure how to send em. Help, comming if I can figure it out chopped top
Nope. I wound up donating the half-finished project to a charity, and a few years ago saw it at the top of a stack at a wrecking yard. Hated to see that. If you're lucky and they put it into storage, you could try calling Carney's Auto Salvage in Austin, MN (at their "North of Todd Park" location). .
Yeaaaaaa....that's what I'm talking about. I'd have to say you nail'd the stance and the chop looks perfect too. I like it when the rear window matches the height of the rest of the glass. I'll be going the highboy route as well. I thought I had a running 440 lined up but that fell through. Tough to tell from the pick what mill you got in it? Nice truck...very inspiring...thanx
yea you need to get cracking on that bad boy...looks like maybe a 56 f100 judging by the portion of the grille I see. I've got a 55 f100 that's a pretty kool driver too.
Thanks!! Wish I could actually take full credit for it, but my buddy Aaron built most of it, and I had to take it away from him, so I offered him a '31 coupe I had sitting around.... Im already putting it through changes....I will post more later for you to check out. OH almost forgot mill is a chev 350, though I like your idea of running a mopar mill much better...
Road devil, we have a 36 ford and early chevy done that way at our local wed night cruise, they draw LOTS of attention. When they fire em up the earth rattles- cool truck-
Yea not mine though, there's a 50 and 52 next to it. I bought the 34 for my father inlaw 25 years ago. He had a 29 and a 31 street rod. I thought it was stock at the time, gave it to him he put it the neighbors barn sat there till he passed. When I picked it up still had air in the tires. It has a 59ab, juice brakes, sw cluster, glass rear fenders, dual exhaust all done in the 50s. Trying to decide what to do, think I'll keep the fenders. chop as much as possible (i'm 6'2"), the motor still runs damed flatheads are amazing, maybe run that for awhile, got two gallons of john deere "blitz black" probably use it, and snake skin seat covers, had em on a 57 ford truck and I liked em. Working on the truck now, my sons helping, he's 20, it'll be done soon.-Mark
