It looks like I may be picking up a '47 Dodge 5 window 2 door sedan. I'm hoping to pick the thing up in the next few days. It's rough but seems to be all there. Now, if only I can find a cheap Hemi (oxy*****?) Anyway, I have a question: I'd like to change the dash to a '53 Chrylser. Have never tried anything like this and was wondering if any of you out there in HAMB land have done a similar dash change. I guess I can't call it a swap since the body lines are completely different. Looks like there will be a fair amount of cutting and sheet metal work. So, chime in, please!!! Gary
Sure it can be done. The old dash can be removed and the new one fitted to the space where the old one was. Or you can cut the center of the old dash out and fit the '53 to the perimeter of the '47. It's a matter of trial and error, measuring and making it work.
