New project '56 Pickup

    Congrats, Jim. I also had the bug to do a 55-57 and summer of 2003, I scored a 55 big window for $250. Down side is it had no ***le and I couldn't get one for it. I turned it for a small profit and went on to bigger and better things. I still love those pickups..

    That was a nice one Rocky. My plans are getting it back in shape body wise, then lowering it with a dropped axle and a flipped rearend. I will run early Corvette caps and big & little wide whites. An Impala wheel will dress up an otherwise stock interior. The engine is a '58 power pack 283 with Corvette valve covers and a factory 4-barrel- hooked to a T-5. I had a thought tonight I might channel the cab and front clip to make the bodyline match the rear fenders- or go after the reproduction Cameo conversion kit if I get lucky. I want it to look like it was built no later than 1960.

    Dam thats some high zoot truck you have going together there. Not "traditional", whatever that means, but definetely a HOT ROD!

    Care to do that for a C1 body shell!?
