I haven't been around much since I sold the chevy, just checked in every once in a while... Trying to get back into a little bit of hot rodding. Here's my new project... Anyone know of a good source for some performance goodies? (for the flat 6)
Nice base for a build up, the pilot house stuff is awesome! We have a 50 5 window i'd like to do someday. Grats on the new project. Mopar speed parts are around, i'd look for a high compression head while you are digging.
A few years ago www.rustyhope.com split exhaust manifolds, and offered intakes as well, don't know if he still does them though. Gene
I know I'd START with a Spitfire 6...there's said to be cams, heads, pistons...they were very popular with roundy cars not so long ago. Hunting parts for the 'lesser' sixes can be futile, often with disappointing results. I found a Spitfire in a wrecking yard in Sacramento for my ex-wife's '54 Plymouth 2 door wagon. Changed engine mounts, shortened driveshaft 1.5", or thereabouts. Increase in performance was quite notable, kudos to the muffler guy that split the manifold and ran 2" all the way back.
New Project..I'M back, not that you missed me... It's not that we didn't miss you, we just didn't notice that you weren't here.
