I knew about this car for over a year now and was tring my best to steer clear of it..telling myself I dont need another project. Well it came up for sale agian this week.. I told myself if it was a hard top I would forget about it! so ask the guy was it hard top or post and he told me it was only!! a post!! Oh my!! remember one of this here locally as a kid done as a gasser and loved it..always loved the lines on this cars and ever time i see one on here done as a gasser my knees get weak!! well for close on 10 years now I been gathering up stuff to build a gasser from.. wheels, front and rear axles. shifters,4 speed top loader and a bunch of old gages and stuff for such a project..This car is cheep cheep!! and I was expected a very ruff car.. He said it was good for parts! well when i seen it I had to control myself not to be too happy.. floors are bad and it has some rust on the quarters but it was in 10 times better shape then what I expect.. Going back in a few weeks to get it.. deal is done. Man Im some happy about this find..

run down!! well I have a set of 15 by 10 slots with 28 by 10.5 slicks for the back and 15 by 4 slots for the front.. front axle will be 55 chevy truck .. plan is to try and save the back frame and trunk and run 2x3 rails from there to the front.. homemade fenderwell headers mounted to a single carbed BBC with a top loader 4 speed box behind that with a 31 spline 9 inch out back running anything from 355 to 488 gears!! lol got a bunch of small stuff..gages steering wheel all from early 70s back.. plan is to letter it up with a few old local shops that were big in these parts back in the 60s and 70s.. basicly Im want it to look like a car that came off the strip in the last 60s.

  11. Please Please Please do not get rid of the W4 sticker it was a popular Rock channel here in Detroit ( Howard Stern was a DJ there in the 70's ). It fits the car to a T. Looking forward to seeing your progress

  16. Fitz, don't forget I've been around for a long time. I used to play in that Bantam when I was about 9 or 10 yrs old. That Bantam is the last one remaining of six that were brought into Newfoundland by the government for the sole use of public health nurses. Hmmm, wonder if I could get a grant from the government to restore a part of our history.:).

Sooooooo...... why is that Bantam still hidden away in the gaping jaws of death? Shouldn't someone spring it free to live again??

    Nice Falcon, Fitzee.
