Projects New project..revised 5/14/18

Slow, steady FUN!

 

Well, I have been busy. Finished mocking up (I think) and started painting last weekend. Here's a pic I took this morning. I should start building the engine mon/tue, get it together, painted and in the frame in a week or so. Need to get a gennie/lokar shifter, a wiring harness and be ready to put the body back on the frame and get 'er done. Getting excited. Clarification/edit...last p[ic was taken this morning.

 

Damn Tim. Already looks fantastic. You do great work. Short time, too. Gotta' love it.

 

Thanks jamie, but it has taken a while to get here. I have taken my time so I have enjoyed it more than some projects.

 

Nice project, nice car to start with. Excellent choice on the wheels and tires.

Brief update. I have the ch***is completely ready for the body, managed to get some guys come help me stick the body on (couple of weeks ago) and I'm starting to wire it up. I have cranked the engine, fired right up, trans and brakes work also. LOTS of little nit picky things done and a few more to go. Won't be too long. Forgot I did an update but did it in a new thread so this should get everyone caught up.

 

I keep forgetting to use this thread for updates. Three times now I have posted new thread without thinking about this thread, so here's the most current pic I have. Tim. Also a pic Saturday with my grandson and his girl posing for senior pics. Prom night!!

Just ran across this thread I started on the sedan. Not a lot to report on the car other than putting a few thousand miles on it. I did have the front seats covered and I'm always playing with little things on the car. Did shorten up the rear bumper braces and pulled the bumper in @ 3-4 inches. Here's a couple of pics.

 

It looks like you replaced the tank after all. Where is it from and why the surgery?
