Guess whos NOT parking outside the gates next year at York!!!!! I'm picking up my new Fatty tonight. Its a '48 Ford 2dr Sedan. Its a barn find. Very clean body. Pretty much all there. Flat motor and running gear is still present. PakRat32 and Dat Dirty Rat found it and helped me (big time) to score it. They're gonna help me pick it up tonight too. WhoooHOOOOOOoooo! These guys are great! I would have had pics to post today but I loaned my daily driver out till the weekend and the camera full of digital pics is on a long ride. PakRat32 will (hopefully) shoot (and post) a few pics as we get it loaded up tonight. The flathead and drivetrain is get'n pulled and I'm gonna run my Y-block ('60 292 w/triples) a 4 speed and an 8" rear for the drive train and pretty much low key resto-rod the rest. Did I say WhOOOooooHOOOOooooo!!!??? Stay Tuned! -Bigchief.
4t64rd; I'm gonna sit on it for a while. My pappy's kinda been jones'n for one for a long time and never moved on the few that he's been able to snatch. Might go through it and drop it on him for father's day next year....we'll see.

Congrats Chief! Sounds like a score! Just be careful that those "other" guys didn't just help you buy it so they can steal it away later. sounds like thier M.O.. First they send you a fake check for too much money..then they..wait, thats an internet scam. They probably just want you to do all the hard work on it until you lose interest, THEN buy it from you for pennies on the dollar. Did you pay more than a dollar for it?
