new Radiator shell

    Just picked up i nice original 31 Radiator shell in very good shape. has a little pait on the sides. whats the best way to clean that off with out hurting the 75 year ols chrome

    I'd say paint stripper. Maybe some from a spray can. That & a little 0000 steel wool should make it about as good as it can get.

    Forget about protecting the chrome--that's stainless steel. The shiny goes all the way through. Maybe just a bit of paint remover would do the job?

    SOS pad is the ****s when it comes to removing stuff from chrome without scratching. It is full of a soap that lubricates it while it's a cleanin' without the scratches.
