Howdy folks... Hopefully road racers are welcome here. I've been involved with cars and racing since the mid-sixties, starting as a young spud at Minnesota Dragways cheering on local hero Tom Hoover, and later driving up to "Donnybrooke" (now Brainerd international) for road racing and in later years drag racing. The road racing bug bit me many years ago, and I race mostly in the upper midwest at tracks like Road America, Blackhawk Farms, Autobahn near Joliet, etc. (usually in what they now call the "vintage" class). Fortunately, I do have many Mpls drag racer friends, who have accepted me, the "sporty car" guy into their ranks as I've helped them on many occasions with graphic stuff...autograph handouts, car paint schemes, etc. (I've worked in the advertising industry for longer than I care to admit...way back in the pre-computer days). Currently rebuilding a 1966 Corvette coupe road race car with my good pal John Loukas of Leffler-Loukas comp coupe fame. In fact, I'm making the drive down to Bowling Green next Friday to see him and the Leffler bros. get inducted into the NHRA hall of fame ceremony...should be a fun trip. Another recent addition to the shop is a '65 Riviera Gran Sport that will be the next project after the Corvette is done. Anyway, this looks to be a great site, I'm glad to be here. –Mark
