Features New Ride 39 Ford

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Scooterville, Apr 18, 2021.

  1. Got this from a friend. Had my eye on it for a few years. Was able to sell my 50 Plymouth to get it. Timing was just right. Small block, auto with reverse manual valve body, 9” rear, all wheel disc. First thing I did was get rid of the 90’s billets that were on it. :D She will be inside at the Jalopyrama Hot Rod Show May 8th. Easton, MD.

  9. Thanks! Body is in great condition.
Interior needs a redo and the smallblock needs a vintage look. I’ll post pics later but it ain’t pretty right now lol

If you plan driving at night leave the 40 lights, thr 39 lights are not good. I know i had them.

  19. You can still have sealed beams if you use the aftermarket kit, I have them on my '39 (and have used a few on '40 pickups).

I agree with the '39 headlights. Otherwise, even with the opening windshield, folks are gonna think/believe it's a '40 Ford;)

That's sweet. Really good choice on the wheels.

  24. That is sweet! Beauty rings, and no pinstriping....it's too pretty to add distractions!

I'm a big fan of 39 coupes too. Would love to see it in Springfield in September. Talk to Dennis (Big Mac 48) about it. You two could run out together, with matching rides.;)
