I don't know if it is my server or what but all I see are black x frustrating cause I love 40 fords Tom
Me too, I get a question mark in a blue box. Maybe it's fate because I can't sell the roadster I have or find the wagon I want here...
Can’t see your pictures either. However can’t go wrong on a ‘40 especially a coupe & black (according to previous comments) to boot! Congratulations! Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
"It costs no more to go first cl***." Great looking car. To heck with deferred gratification. Congrats.
Good for you A. I’ve been following your adventures all summer. I’m glad you were able to find something you wanted quickly. Snowman
WOW! Doesn't it just figure when you get all the parts you need, after years of hunting, you run into exactly what you wanted?! Steelies, absolutely! (An aside: IMO, 40 Fords are the ONLY cars flames look good on ... or not). Roll on buddy!
Have you registered for the Moonshine Festival in Dawsonville, GA yet?!! Probably too late to get there this year but ya gotta go next year!! All 40 Ford coupes have to go... especially the black ones!
Pre-register is over but you can still register. If it’s a ‘39 or ‘40 register it as a moonshine car. Don’t think my ‘40 will be there this year would love to see this one in person though. https://www.kfkmountainmoonshinefes...isplay_car_instructions_and_registration.docx
Probably won't have the car in time. Bill Squire (Bills Auto Works) is on vacation this week and has hauling commitments ahead of me. If it wasn't so far (NY) I'd go get it. ANXIOUS!! Anybody know the car? It came out of Ohio. Fellow traded it toward a steel 32 3W coupe. Think his name is John.
..............Don't know the car, but it has that "Ohio" look about it. I can no way explain that statement except that cars from particular areas often have a certain look that makes them identifiable to that area. Lots of great cars have that Ohio heritage and look.
I don't know how you can stand it. I made a verbal agreement to buy my '40 on a Sunday afternoon. The seller was very religious and did not do business on a Sunday... So I had to wait until Monday after work to make the deal and pick it up. That was the longest 28 hours I can remember in a very long time.
Yeah, it's got a flathead! No LS here. Don't know any more other than rebuilt with Mallory distributor, with 5388 miles. Have an Edelbrock slingshot, two new Strombergs, and a set of block letter heads waiting patiently. More than I am! Tap, tap, tap, tap...……..
