Hi Bill, You are making me feel so guilty for taking a week off! I get it though, as I am also suffering from our hobbies severe addiction.....I have 9 of my own & the excitement of getting the next one is unbelievable. By the pictures, you got yourself a great one this time! I will be contacting your seller today or tomorrow & depending on his time frame will pick it up a week from today & you will have it the next day! I very much appreciate repeat business & after meeting customers on the first one, I consider you all friends for life! The unfortunate side effect of being blessed with a great reputation is a constant back log of business. Hang in there, I will be there next week! God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
Tuesday, TUESDAY, TUESDAY!! Giddy with anticipation. Got a PM from nor6304 on here, who recognized the car as one he built and owned. Great to know some of its history. Thanks, Ron, for the info and build pics. That certainly bolstered my confidence in my decision.
Hopefully Bill will bring it by my place before he delivers it to you, I wouldn't want you to get the car before I had a chance to drive it around and make sure everything is as it should be, let's put delivery off to you until Wednesday! HRP
Wow, Danny, what an offer! It's what a good buddy would do. While you have it, please drop the tank and drain the old gas out, change the fuel filter, rebuild the carb, and give it a wash and wax. Thanks, Pal!
15 minutes, but who's counting? Bill's getting close, and I'm as nervous as a kid on his first date. Film at 11:00
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus...... Easy does it, Bill! One happy old man! Perfect! Thanks especially to Ron French (nor6304) who built the car as I would have, to Ron Yurista (awd1936) for the honest and accurate ad, and to Bill Squires (BillsAutoWorks) for impeccable delivery service. You guys are the BEST!! VIVA THE HAMB!
WOW!!!!! She's a 10. "Nervous as a kid on his first date"? I think you got to second base on this date. My goodness she's pretty.
Glad to see you like the car and that Bill delivered it un****hed, I had no doubt he would as he was damn near as **** about loading as I was. Have fun with it, that's what it's all about. Be careful, that thing has chrome acorn nuts on the headbolts so the horsepower is way up there. Semper Fi
Awesome car! Congrats! A little cliche or not, It would be hard for me to pull those 5 spokes, a little newer style than the cl***ics but still a 5 spoke in the spirit of the older ones, and they look killer on there with that stance etc.
Glad you got the car home Bill I would have been anxious also Hope you get many miles & look forward to seeing you this summer at some of the shows Thank you Ron
Thank you! Got a few bugs to work out, since it's been sitting for a while, but it drives very nice. Very comfortable. You did a great job on her! I may PM you with some more questions.
You will discover that you will find any excuse you can to drive it! I ask my wife if she needs anything at the store; her reply, "You just want to drive your '40, don't you?" As of yesterday (in the rain), I've driven my '40 213 days so far this year. You have a beauty, that's for sure! Congratulations!
Hi Bill, It was great to see you again & your wife again! I knew after I picked up the one you sold that it would only be a matter of time before that money burned a hole in your pocket & I would see you again real soon! LOL It was also great to meet your seller & fellow Hamber Ron as well, I believe we will be doing some stuff together soon! Here are a couple of other pics I took to add to your post! Enjoy it very much. as I am sure you will. God bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
