One of my favorite subjects that pop up once and a while is a hot rod/custom that has known history.
Not so much the iconic, known, documented, magazine stuff, but the grass roots kinda stuff.
Just a thought, if there is something like this I havent found it.
What do you guys think about a section that is only 'original hot rods'
As in something you have or know of that has a known history from back when.
Uncle Bobs 40 coupe. Brother Jims panel.
    Dads duece.
Would think only complete or close to complete only, but could include mostly complete and maybe even race cars(with a known history of builder)
Each post could include whatever history there is. Some pics. A who, what, where, when(I think we all know why)
Heck one of the side benefits of this section might even help that HAMBer from the year 2124 figure out "Anyone know the history of this Model A I just pulled out of a barn?"(if they still have barns then)
Kinda like a time line from when that RPU started it 'Hot Rod History'
    What say you?

The HAMB site is a fraction of the car hobby, which is a niche in itself.
Let's look at it using another niche hobby. Does a model train forum that is focused on HO gauge trains from the golden era need to have a subsection for only displays that were built back in the day and are as built?

I'd say it's already focused enough. It also will end up being mainly for the well heeled who can seek out, acquire and maintain the few cars that survive in original, vintage modified condition. That tends to be a shrinking, elite group. This site's manifesto is as stated "Spreading the gospel of traditional hot rods and customs to hoodlums world wide." I think the operative word there is spreading, not shrinking.
While having a separate section as a reference for how it was done can be useful, most posts here abide by the rules of focusing on topic. Maybe adding a Reference tag?

If you spell "deuce" this way you'll get better results from your searches.
