I keep hearing this too. I don't want my shop to become the local hangout for my friends and car club. If it hinders me from working, that won't fly with me. I saw it happen to another shop here a while back. every day it would be flooded with people, nothing got done, and it eventually shut down.
Oh yeah, I picked up a few tools from my grandfather, who owned a shop years ago. Lots of good stuff, old aluminum case drills, portaband, bumper jack, press, and a drill press. The drill press I am in awe of. He says its from the 30s, and it just says cool all over it. I will try to remember the camera tomorrow to snap a picture, and see if any of you guys can identify it, and confirm its supposed age.
Actually what keeps me from getting anything done is the HAMB...but it's also what keeps me sane...I find myself spending more and more time here but I justify by the knowledge I soak up from everybody out there, the cool people I have met and the fact that my blood pressure is usually a few points lower when I log out...GOOD LUCK IN THE NEW DIGS
Good advice from RacerRick. Suggest L&M (brand) AuqaPel Plus or L&M SealHard. If you have United Rentals stores they sell it.
