Well if everyone else is doing it...

I liked the bike up intill the handlebars and exhaust. The bars would have been good chrome, yes, but they are to curvey anyway. For handlebars to make anything more than a 140* angle is weird. And I dig big tall exhaust pipes...but that was too much (along with the sissy bar). And then, they had to go and paint it purple!! I still liked the bike leagues more than the ones they build on american chopper. The frame fabrication, the gas tank fab, the oil tank...all that makes me hope it becomes a regular thing. Their accents though make me think Deliverence, and the "boss" throwing his little overdone fits makes me hope it doesn't become a regular show. We'll see!

And what is it with the south and the color pink? Do they paint there cars ,trucks, motorsyckles after their b*** lures? But if you say "hey nice pink bike!" they get offended and reply "its not pink, its deep magenta."

That is so true it's not even funny.

I watched Southern Chopper & enjoyed it. Personally though, I think they should give Gary (old man w/beard) his own show. It was nice to see someone who didn't "play" to the camera! Aside from his obvious talent...ya gotta love a guy who goes out searching for four-leaf clovers. And I agree with everyone else, BEST laugh I've ever heard in my life!

other then the boss smiling when he was trying to be mean, and the bike being as ugly as a bad 70s custom i think it was alright, good amount of metal fab how to--- well ya just watched but you an idea ect.

i think sometimes ppl forget that, yeah its a tv show duh its going to be skripted. and then throw a fit when they see bad acting by metal fab guys. whatd you expect? lol

  5. That show f ing ****ed! They were trying so hard to be like American Chopper and yell and throw ****. Just getting sick of these typical ****py bikes these guys are building. For $75,000-$100,000 bikes these things they're building on all these shows look like ****. The only thing I dig about all of these shows on discovery is the fabrication, you gotta respect a shop full of tools you'd die for.

I personally the yellow one that Wolfey was riding when they hit Bisquitmall or whatever it's called. That one was killer. Blue one and red one were pretty cool too.

That purple POS they made was just odd.

  7. I loved the way they talked just like the guys on American chopper in an a-matter-of-fact type of tone... get rid of the accents and the show barely gets a p***ing grade...

Also, at least Paul Sr. rants are real... that doof that runs the shop in the SC show is fake as all get out... firing everyone after they made a mess... I can hear the director now...

"Que the fight scene music... ok guys, throw more packing material, there... good... good... ok, grab the one that is torn open.... good, great... good... ok, when I say now... throw it and ****ter the stuff all over... good... ok... NOW! Perfect! Now, enter in the shop owner... shop owner, act really pissed off... ok, good... Woa! No! No! You don't want to fire EVERYONE!! We won't have a show! Too late... lets salvage the scene... stomp off and then we can kiss and make up later... perfect... you guys are great.... CUT! Thats a wrap! Lets get the clean up crew in here and clean this **** up..." [IMG]

It is very definately the same writers as "American Chopper". And they both build ugly bikes. I appreciate the skill involved in the fabricating but damn the **** is ugly. And it's "Biscuitville". As far as chains go they have the best buscuits out there.

HAAHAHA, Sam,you nailed it. [IMG] [IMG]

i changed the channel after the first few minutes when they had their GAY paintball fight,,then what ever i was watching was over and i put it back on ...wolfey was the man!!! i wish i could hang around him!
the younger guy seemed OK,but he also seemed like he was to anxious and to willing to do what ever it took to be on TV(nice MI tattoo),the Randy guy was pretty lame.

i give much credit to the OTHER young guy who DIDNT jump in front of the cammera,,the one who rode with them but you didnt see him much in front of the cammera in the shop...

,,i must admit tho,i was having trouble at work todaqy and excused myself to look for a 4 leaf clover. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

and for what its worth,i REALLY dig the OG style bike that theyve built(the yellow one)

Whatever happened to chrome handle bars? I think handle bars and forks should always be chrome on a chopper!
Thats a nice bike but it dosent really flow, the tank runs downhill in the front, something just dosent look right...could be the sissy bar and pipes too!

On second thought, if it had some tall chrome ape hangers on it, it would prolly work with the pipes and sissybar.

I was thinking the same thing. It just doesn't flow right. I don't really like the color either, but they did do some nice work on the tank and fenders. I could have done with out the staged stuff. Just build the bike!!

Next time you watch American Chopper, take a shot of hooch every time one of the guys talking to the camera says, "I gotta tell ya...". [IMG]

    It's scripted.

and one other thing,..since im started now! [IMG] [IMG]

what the **** is up with all these DEADLINES,,i understand that thess are buisnesses that they run,and frankly, with out a deadline ,there PROBABLY wouldnt be a show, but give me a break, does EVERYTHING have to be built on a ****IN deadline...guess it worked for motorcyclemania 1 & 2,but,HELLO..,Discovery channel,THAT is not why people tunned into those shows, its because we got to see someone with talent making something out of bare metal in to a functional beautiful piece of machinary ,not the "HEY,we gotta have it done in two week pile of looking **** /or bike-in-a-box kit/slap on some lame THEME gay ********" .

anyways, like i said to someone at work today,,i cant really talk **** cuz they (the people on TV) have their own buisnesses, get to do what they want for a living and theyre on TV,,NOT ME,

  13. My students did their very first dent work today. Of course as I was showing them my hammers, I told them they'd better keep their hands off my "little pecker".

Having worked in the industry building choppers I can honestly say that the OCC guys are chumps. Most all of the guys I respect in the industry won't do a show like that. Sure they'll do a bike build off. But no f#cking reality show. Though I must say I respect Jesse a hell of lot more than the OCC or MI guys. Maybe we can get "Brooklyn Choppers" and they'll spend a couple weeks with Indian Larry... As long as they stay awaay from Yaffe I'll be OK, he's super chump #1...

  17. That guy Indian Larry looks like someone you wouldn't want to **** with...

I find that these shows are best watched with the sound off. I would love to get to work with all of the tools they have, and I can respect the real fabricators (not the O.C.C. ****) that "build" their bikes. The soap opera antics get to be much though.

  19. Nice Mullet!

Looks like he may have put on a few pounds and shaved the "fun end" of his bad haircut for the show...

Ole Yeller is much cooler than the **** they built on the show. WTF is up with the handlebars they build? **** ugly in my opinion. As for Indian Larry, met him and he's a real cool guy. He was at Myrtle Beach bike week a few years back. Nice guy as long as you were cool with him and not some yuppie wanna bee asking stupid questions... I dig his old school style.

  21. SamIyam, I bet they all talk alike because Discovery guys are telling them to. They are all saying the same thing such as: "I gotta tell ya" "I'll have to be honest with ya" it ain't no coincidence that everyone on these Discovery shows are saying the same phrases.
