Good that you were able to recoup the majority of your money, most times, people get screwed. Smart of you to bail out and sounds like the new motor will be a good one.

Let us know how it comes out.

Sure will keep you guys posted. The motor ended up being a gift, so that adds to the budget. A fresh th350 popped up (friend/Rochester street rod member) but it's a little out of my price range so I am waiting. Can't find a carb. AMAZED - blown away at how little is on Rochester.craigslist.org and surrounding areas. Like literally next to nothing

Thanks for the update dude. Keep guttin' it out, it'll get there. I had a "pro" rebuild a th350 for me and he f'ed it up. I had the thing in and out 3 times and finally fixed it myself. Just part of the fun. Good luck.

I am going to eventually learn to do this stuff my self. My God-given talent is fabrication and good with detail so I can handle it just don't have time to learn or money for tools. I am going to set my self up though to build motors and trannys that way I know it's done right. I hope he doesn't see this and get offended but the guy that sold me that motor almost seriously damaged it 3 times taking it off my trailer when we brought it back. My uncle stopped him each time and
Helped. We just looked at each other like as to say "if he is this not careful surely that's why the motor is this way." I am super careful and make sure I am doing things right when I do them. That isn't to toot my own horn - lord knows I get in my own way ahah

I've got an Edelbrock 1411, automatic choke, universal GM 4 barrel carb in EXCELLENT, almost NEW shape. I believe that's the 750 CFM model, you can have it for the shipping, as usual. I'll even throw in a rebuild kit, but I don't think it'll need it. E-Mail me your address again. Won't happen until Monday however. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Honestly one of the kindest people I have met and 3,000 miles away without even a hand shake. Thank you so so much

I'm glad things are looking up for you Drew! Very glad you parted company with that engine.

Yes me too. I could have had $5,500 in free engine work to fix that
Thing and I would have never had peace with it in here. Glad it's gone.
