Well I've finally made it official. I've referenced your dialogue and information since I started this project a year ago. You guys are a good resource! I was first a muscle car crazed youth (Mustang, GTO, Road Runner). I then drifted to British roadsters ( MG, Healey). My uncle got me thinking about building a '23 T He and his son had planned but after his son was killed was sitting in his barn. After a lot of thought and research I agreed to take on the progect with his help. The original T plans have changed from hot rod to become a track-T with a '28 grill and 1/4 elliptical front. I'm enjoying the creative process and the many options that are there to individualize my creation. I stretched the body and frame 6" so I can get in it. Found a Quad 4 and T5. Set it on Hair Pins with a '28 axle front and 8.8 out back. Now that I have it set up so I can see it, I'm ready too order the 2 1/2 " dropped axle. I know that what I have described isn't exactly "old school". I apologize if it offends any one but as none of it is metal anyway, it seems to me that function is key. I would appreciate any leads on finding a good axle source. evt
Nice intro, welcome from Missouri. You might want to post on the site about your axle, not everyone looks at the intros. Just my 2 cents from another FNG.
You have several options available to you for that front axle, you can post a "wanted" ad in the cl***ifieds, look through the Hamb O'Dex or become an "Alliance member" and perhaps save yourself a few bucks. At any rate, enjoy your project and the H.A.M.B...
