First times are usually intimidating and I am all for gals working on their own rides. I mean get to to it right? Don't be scared because you are a girly. I just started learning about cars and the names of such parts but i am still learning and it takes time. It does feel intimidating because there are some dudes who laugh at a girl when she mentions she is in a all girl car club or they belittle us with a smirk in their breath... whatever, you were a rookie once, but then there are the dudes who love us and encourage us to learn and helps us out and thank you guys it means a lot to us girls who are not doing anyone any harm by being interested in the car world. I'm not in it for the scene I'm in it to learn. To make my car run and look the way I want to express myself through a car. I have a 1965 falcon and it was my first car it means a lot to me to learn from this car because in the end they all have an engine, a tranny, a water pump, a radiator, a starter an alternator an so on and so on. I am learning all by myself... well along with the rest of the Gasoline Girls when we get together on wrench nights but the days I wrench on my own it is just me and my car, my tools and my drive to get it done. It is how I learn about what it takes to make a car work. I know little but it's a start so I am glad to join this site and hope to look back one day and say look at me now and the progress I have accomplished. This is one of my many post to come but i thought I better say something.
