Hi Everyone, Long time lurker of the site finally took the plunge and set up an account. Ive been a gear head for most of my life, starting when I was a kid working on Model A hot rods, 60s impalas, and race cars with my dad. I spent some time in my late teens and early 20s turbo charging the "golden era" Hondas. In my late 20s and into early 30s I found myself racing Dirt Stock Cars for about 10 years, got married, and had a family. I have wanted a 49-54 Chev Convertible for many many years as I absolutely love that body style. Finally after years of searching I found one that was within an 8 hour drive, and picked it up. Our family has been enjoying it all summer. Have not taken it to any car shows, but do go out for the local cruise night when the mood strikes. Its has a 261, 5spd out of an s10, and a 57 rear end. Welcome aboard! Nice Chevy. Growing up my cousin had a 49, chopped with a 348- four speed. Loved that car.
