LuckyStiff, My mother and sister moved out here about 5 years ago, and was in some difficult time out here last year. So I moved out here to help out. It is a big change from CA but I like it more out here I bought a house for only 49k that would go for atleast 250k in CA. I have land and a garage, thats not to common in Santa Barbara CA for under 200k not matter what condition the house is in. Plus I have been buying old cars and parts out here really cheap and selling them backin CA for some cash. It helps with the bills..lol But I agree this town does stink rather bad, thank god I live out in the country where I dont have to smell the paper mill. I have a good friend that lives in Hickory, I am probally going out to visit him in a month, I you would like to we up some where let me know. Jonney
