Hi Jeff & welcome. The truck has a real good look and is preserved well. Must have been kept inside all those years. Low mileage too by your odometer - LOL. I also like the original look. It sits a bit high but that is what 3/4 ton's do & yours is doing that well. Keep us posted with photo's as you progress and please hit us with any questions you have. Where are you located? You can add that to your profile & it will show when you post and that seems to help get more replies here. Likely there are others on the HAMB that are close to you for help if needed. If you start a build thread or have build questions then post them on the Hokey Ass Message Board - general discussions and more will see it. Jimmie
Thank you and i will look at how to update and upload things better. The truck was inside a garage all the years my grandpa had it never moved but i am working on it that why it starting to look better than before like the bed i redid myself and put herculiner. And im in the bay area close to s.f. and of coarse it had low milage 60k miles. But that is not true grandpa said the od flipped once so 160k miles til i blew the ol 283 out recently But yes it a 3/4 ton and i am not going to do no mods to it i did remove some leafs out the back just to take the stiffness out I am going to keep the stock hight and keep the ol leaf springs. Ill see what i can deal with and cant. But i am going to change the wheels as these old split rims are a pain nobody will change the tire nor anybody carrys them so that is not good plus they are a bit pricey plus tubes. Pain but thank you sir and i will be on here for alot of questions and always need advise and anybody can ask me stuff to no question i believe is dumb because if we all knew everything then what is there for us to do if we knew everything lol. put these on the truck to see the clearance look like a tie rod is really close a may have to tell the guys to put balancers on outside of rim instead. And may have to file the tie rod. But here is some progress from etrailer and paint silver and these caps fit nicley but still need to mount the clips of coars. Right now just for looks to see. Also to try to keep as close to my 33" tire i found one that is as close but not really. before i get into the off road tire. Idont want off road kind. So i found bf goodrich. LT 235/85r16. Hope they clear the bed also and this tire is 31"3/4. I will post back as soo. As this is all mounted up
