I really like the way that the rear end turned out! You've done some great work on this truck! Let me know when you get ready to sell it
This weekend hopefully will get the last group sprayed....front fenders/running boards/visor/taillight stands/bed cover. Taking it in for some exhaust today !
Cheers to you. Great job. I think I speak for all of the coe crowd when I say we are envious and proud at all the same time! Keep up the good work!
The truck is out at buddy's for some paint work so I have a little time to clean up the shop before it comes back. Here is a little shot of the interior we made Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
If you had described the flames to me in words, I suspect I might shake my head side-to-side and think "oh no". Seeing it? Out-freakin-standing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, I'm pretty happy how all the pieces have fallen into place. Its hard to tell but the flames are gloss in the same color as the dash/firewall (dodge truck color) Outlined in orange
Are they every really done ? After 125 miles the old 140hp 360 just wasn't gonna cut it. So I pulled the cab and started the swap. 390hp late model 5.7 hemi with a 5spd. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Thanks. I'm using a hotwire harness so it will be disabled. Hope to get the cab back on this weekend so I can get it moved to my smaller shop which has heat to get it finished up.
Multi-displacement system. It's this rather ingenious Mercedes engineered setup that uses solenoids and colapsable lifters to change the engine from a V8 to a 4 cyl. The problem is that the solenoids and lifters fail. If the system is disabled they act like regular lifters and seem to live happily. Thats why I bought a 2005 Durango, doesn't have MDS. Chevy has a similar system on their V8s too,
hotwireAuto.com built my harness and also setup the computer for me. Everything plugged in like factory and fit great with just a few additional wired that needed connected. I turned the key, the pump primed (had to install a intake pump) and it started right up. I am also installing the radiator/fans from the doner so it should cool like stock. At this time Im bending up some cardboard to remake my engine cover
Started with cardboard. Then on to some metal. Then trim my carpet to fit. Again Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
