    Never say no or never.....
Turn signals were dealer options (add on wiring lever and switch) in 1950.
It’s the in the shop manual.
My old 50 coupe had the indicator places in the gauge cluster but no signal wiring.
1951 was the start for factory installed signals.

20240903_165117.jpg 20240903_174955.jpg ratrodders ruin everything...that monstrosity of a "custom grill" was held on by two 3/4" nuts welded to the fender.

But we got the latch panel mostly in, and got the trunk lid mounted. With some more "massaging" it will be pretty squared away.
Wiring continues. Found a Holley universal dash gauge for slightly less than a mint. Lol once it's in I can finish wiring. 20240903_165117.jpg 20240903_174955.jpg 20240903_165058.jpg

Here's a picture of the one I found. I'm gonna try and update the original with new gauges as well Screenshot_20240904_101717_eBay.jpg

    Matt,
I was wanting to see the dashboard.
I that hood latch cross piece is from a 1951. I know the PO used a cross cut saw.

I was wanting to see the dash to confirm it’s a 1950.
Sometimes 1951s can be tagged as 50s and vice versa. It depends on when they were sold.
    1951s do have some differences.
The dash will tell. 51s had a different dash than a 49-50.

No vin says its a 50, I found that latch panel on fleabay. Probably not keeping it. The PO didn't have ANY securing mechanism for really any of the hatches/doors.

Not only used a saw blade, but.welded it to the lower grill piece. It's a mess

It depends on what you want to do.
Most customs will do away with the center bullet and use the flat ‘51 hood. It looks like that grill set up the PO did was for a ‘51 hood.
51 hoods are a little harder to find loose in the wild because so many were used for custom 49-50s.

There are lots of differences between 50-51
    Floor pans
    Bumpers
    Rear Springs
    Firewall
    Dash
    Transmissions
    Transmission mounts
    Wiring
    Signals
    Stuff like that....

Discovering that. Went with 49 trunk, which led to 49 hinges, and latch. Not sure about front. Probably 49 or 50 and original. Still a lot.of grills in the wild.
Not trying to keep it too original. But also not wanting to ratrod it out like the nerds before me.
Wiring is a universal kit. It's meeting needs right now.
Eng/trans is buick 350/th400. It's gonna stay for now due to money.
    Lights/signals gonna stay 49-50

Trying to get it just road worthy right now

I actually like the exposed/'49-'50 trunk hinges better, as they seem to harmonize with the shape of the tail light bezels, and break up the large expanse of the tulip/Dutchmans's panel and trunklid surface a bit.

Would agree the '49/'50 bullet style grille is much sexier, too.

Me too. But I can see the allure of 51 hinges for a clean shaved kinda look.
I think every trashy girl likes a little jewelry

So, I'm learning that a lot of people(including myself) can't determine differences in 49,50, 51 things. Found a set of 49 parking lights cheap(unlike 50s whew lads) and decided to pull the trigger on a 49 grill, that I think turned out to be a 50...and I cannot find, never mind afford 50 parking lights.

Upper left, right, and center I think are the same, only difference is the side bars and parking lights right?
