just moved to tulsa about three months ago. I noticed there was a swap meet in Norman OK this weekend. I was wondering if anyone knew what it was like? good bad dont waste time??
Greetings! It isn't anywhere near the size of Chickasha but I've been setting up there for the last few years because it's close and because I have better luck selling my stuff (less competition). It's a hard call for someone two hours away but like always if you go and find something you really need it was worth it.
Dang 29cabby- you missed the show in Oklahoma to be at last weekend. The Agitators (Tulsa CC) put on their show in Cleveland last weekend. If you are on facebook, check out Agitators Car Club page for more details. BTW- Very cool ride, hope to run into you around town!
man wish i had known! ill check the facebook page out. my car should be out here in the spring. are there anymore good shows out here? whats a good swap meet to hit when the weather warms again? any meet up spots?
Yeah, get on our FB page, and tell them Lee sent you! (im currently incognito, and taking a hiatus from FB) After the first of the year (May) our brothers up in Dewey OK put on the Stray Kat 500 show. Its a "must hit". We are hoping our show becomes a similar favorite, just later in the year. Look for Stray Kat customs on FB as well. Mick or Travis have a FB group that tell about all the upcoming shows and swap meets. What brought you to OK?
here's a great shindig happening this saturday in sand springs... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=829110
Well then you missed the Street Kings annual movie night/cookout at the Guthrie Drive-In. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=32898 Make sure to come to Nostalgia Sid's open house in the spring. His wife Teresa makes GREAT chili.
... And welcome to Oklahoma. Ya just missed the Rejects annual Reliability Run here in central OK. Check out the Okie Hambers too...
Ya gotta go to the Hot Rod Garage open house in Sand Springs this Saturday. Forget Norman Take Hwy 412 west to Sand Springs, exit at 129th W. Ave Cross over highway 412 and follow the hundreds of other hotrodders who will be leading the way.
Ive been to Norman a few years ago and it was just getting started. My wife is supposed to work this weekend so l was going to try to go. I am sure it has improved greatly since the last time.
