    Hey!
New to hot rods, but have admired from afar a longggggg time. Still have some slot cars I built back in the day. Built a couple of Spridget vintage race cars for road racing. Does that count as rodding?
Anyway, looking forward to learning from you guys. I just bought a ‘40 Ford pickup on BAT with the original 59A motor. All original truck. Underside and running gear already done. Engine/****** rebuilt but to stock specs. Looking to rod the engine mildly for appearance shock factor, reliability, and sound, mostly. No racing planned. Truck has real-deal patina everywhere except underneath where everything is new. Thinking of aluminum heads, 2x2 intake with 97’s or better, electronic ignition, for now. Based on the bone stock internals and my mission, what bolt ones do you recommend?
    Thanks in advance

Welcome to the HAMB from Illinois.

Your pickup sounds like the beginning of a great rod.
