New to site 67 chevelle 402

Frustrated with car running HOT or what I think is hot ..put on a new pusher fan 650cf, and its worse now then before was running 205-210 got it back today went 220
Haven't confirmed with laser thermometer yet but it scares me silly as I just put new heads on ..can any one give me advise....the top radiator hose feels soft and and I did not see any back wash when squeezed ...u think it may not have been burped? Please help

Where is the timing at? 1/8" hole in thermostate?
