    Interesting.
Are you inserting the photos via the Image*****on (icon is mountains and sun in frame)?

No. I used the icon with the camera and selected pics from my media. If I use the “upload a file”*****on I get a progress bar then when it’s done there is an error.

  4. I think your media has not been made public. I use the "upload a file*****on", but file size and type may be the reason it won't work for you.

The HAMB complains about permissions.... Upload A File seems to work fine for me and I don't see anything about permissions.... Oh, maybe you're using the Image*****on and just a URL that the HAMB can't access???

Edit: I see I'm late to the party....

I have decided not to use the grill trim. Is there much of a market to sell these pieces? Any guess what they might be worth?

Since the 38/39 grill seems to be the holy grail, I'm sure there is a market for it but suspect it's very limited to a small number of nuts like us....

judging by the wheels and the stance, it appears your truck may have already been frame swapped...

Are you planning on using a 1941-47 grill and hood instead of your 38/39? They can be difficult to find that are not priced into the stratosphere... Not sure if Wescotts makes a FG one or not. They might... I know the steel grill bars were available somewhere as is a repop center SS piece. I have an extra 1941 grill/hood but it's way too rough to pay someone to fix it.

Staying with the 39 grille just not going to use the trim. I have an 06’ Dodge Ram donor. Going to use the chassis, suspension, engine/trans. Also relocating the engine behind the cab.

Sounds like a solid plan.. Ram 1500? I needed to widen my front fenders to fit down over the stock-ish 02 Ram 1500 wheels and tires..

Yep, 1500. The builder and I have already discussed the need to widen the fenders.

Before you pay someone to widen the fenders you should check into having wheels made with the correct offset. I think they would be considerably cheaper. Widening the fenders is to the builders advantage cost wise

Good point. We will look at possibilities once everything is mocked up.

  17. I wouldn't mess with wheel offset! Changes in wheel offset will affect scrub radius, which can get you in trouble with drive-ability. No one wants a truck they can't steer down the road!

I doubt that a pair of steelies with correct offset/backspacing would be more than widening the fenders. Plus what about down the road if a fender needs replacing? As far as being afraid of changing off set, my cpe has a Nova sub, narrowed a-arms and 6" wide wheels with 4 1/8" backspacing. I haven't had any problems with that combo and I'm just a few hundred miles shy of 100K on it.
Something to think about. When you look at custom wheels do you ever see a statement saying they only fit a certain car/truck due to offset/backspace

No, but they do include a disclaimer, saying they will not be responsible for what you do with those wheels!

My 74 Nova was one of the more ill-handling cars I've ever owned, congratulations to you for getting lucky and fixing the factory's poor design.
I stand behind my statement that when you start messing with factory suspension designs, you can get into a mess. I'd opt for solving the problem a different way. (even if you must choose a chassis that better fits your sheet metal)

How many things do you buy nowadays that doesn't have a disclaimer in it. It called a COVER YOUR A&% statement.
Too bad about YOUR ill- handling Nova that's the first one I've heard of

Not worried about what happens if I have to replace a fender as they are extremely hard to find anyway so I would likely go fiberglass. They wouldn’t be bad to modify, I could do that myself.

Builder hasn’t started yet. I’m told that they will be starting soon though. Still buying bits and pieces, getting ready.

So I’ve searched this site a good bit looking for power steering options and more modern components. Is the best option using the 90ish degree adapters like Isuzu or flaming river?

If the Dodge that you are using is a pick up. The 90 degree well Moët likely be the easiest to do.

The dodge donor is up in the air right now. Truck is at a new builder after sitting at the other place for over a year and a half without getting started. Dropped off the Dodge as well so we can decide what direction will be the best way to go.

    I’ll check out the Moët.

The boys here turned me on to the Isuzu Rodeo items. For lack of knowing a better name, I've been calling them steering reversers. You can find all the gory details in my build thread. Cliff's notes are: I could not make 70 degree Borgesons work without binding. I used 2 Rodeo units, one at the bottom of the steering column and one above the rack and pinion stub. It has worked perfectly..
