    doing a sbc 350 swap in my 1966 rambler american and tips .I bought sbc mounts and frame plates

    You'll have to fab everything as there are no kits, but it's a pretty easy swap. If the Rambler came with a six I'd start with six to AMC V-8 conversion mounts from www.bulltear.com. They can be modified to bolt to the SBC. Might need some plates welded on, but should be able to drill them and bolt in position.

    The HAMB is for 65 and earlier cars
    Try somewhere else for that car.
    Hang around and enjoy the place for the rest but don't expect anyone to celebrate your 66 Rambler

    I don't think anyone should object to the 66 Rambler. FYI, that ch***is ran from 63-66. It's virtually the same as the 65 with just some minor trim differences.

    I know the HAMB has the 65 cut-off, but surely in some instances there can be justified exceptions, such as this. If AMC had started using the new body in 66 instead of 67 I'd certainly say the same thing -- it's a newer car and shouldn't be here.
