    Hi everybody,
I am new to this group/website. I just purchased a 53 victoria. I am currently going through as many of the post on this group as I can to see if my long list of questions has already been answered, but I ask for your patience if I ask something that has already been covered. Most of the time I just need a little direction, maybe to a website link or a book, and then I can work it out. thanks for any/all help

Welcome! I think you'll find we're a bit more tolerant of "stupid questions" than is the main board. We recognize that we each have our strong and our weak areas, and are not all the same when it comes to knowldege or experience.

I think this social group has its members best interest at heart - not its members egos - and is willing, like a good parent, to answer the same questions time after time. After all, our goal is to share knowledge and experience, not make ourselves feel "big" by making somebody else seem small.

So, no matter how many times you think a question might have been asked and answered before, ask away. We'll do our best to help you out without scolding and without telling you to "go do a search".

I think I'm on pretty safe ground here and feel confident that other members of this social group feel the same way.

    Again, welcome!

Welcome and I agree with Eric. I'm not helpless in the garage, but I admit that I have a lot to learn. My strong suit is that I listen well, and am not afraid to ask for help.

I don't post on the main boards because I don't care to get insulted, but this social group is much more accomodating. Between this board and the 54 Ford Club forums, I've saved untold amounts of grief and money by asking for advice from the guys who have been down the same paths.

Welcome... You'll enjoy this group, a bunch of great guys here that are willing to help in any and all ways. You'll find the guys here willing to share their projects and advice for the good of all. Eric is right on and correct on all the members here. Now.... let's see some pictures!
I think it would be great to have these guys get together some time for a show and tell session.

I added a couple of pics to my profile. I plan on adding more as I get more done on it. I like the idea of keeping a "restore journal" and actually already started even before joining the group. thanks everyone for the nice welcome.

Hey Chris... I call a "restore journal" a "baby book". I have a photo baby book of every car I have built. When the car gets sold usually the buyer wants the book so I make another one for him. I have found that I add a couple of $$$$ to the price if the buyer can see how ther car was done and progressed. They feel good with what they buy when they see the build.
