Hey guys, I have been a HAMB member for quite a while, but just joined this group.( Mainly because Im actually getting started on the Ford). I live near Lincoln, NE. Working as a mechanic, but in the middle of school getting into computer programming. I had a business doing cylinder head work and porting/flowtesting in my garage for a while, but it was too much work(have to have time with the family) and not enough $ so I don't do much anymore but am glad to give help/advice to people that want to port heads themselves. My 54 is going to begin as a street/strip "g***er", and plan on eventually putting a straight axle under the car, but not at first. I have quite a bit of SBF circle track engine stuff so Im planning on running a SBF, probably some form of a 351W. Im going to dress the engine in early 60s attire, and label it as a 289 271hp engine. I have an AOD automatic and 2800 stall converter so Ill probably use it. Someday maybe Ill put an FE in it..... I have recently been inspired by the "Gl***er G***er" pic that someone posted on the HAMB. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/5Ts7i9sfVu**pn8V9tT5vQ?feat=directlink It looks like it has a plexigl*** window in the hood, which is pretty cool. I have an extra hood so I might give it a shot. I have a 52 donor car that Ill be using lots of parts from. This project is especially exciting for me because we are doing it as a family project. The wife and kids are going to be involved all the way, and they are excited about it. Pics of the ol' Ford are in my profile.....
