Welcome aboard, Meagan! I'm sure you'll find this group a big help building your sedan. We're a pretty plain-spoken bunch, and welcome all manner of questions, whether they've been asked before or not.

And, you'll find we're pretty well-mannered...for a bunch of guys, that is. We keep the '52-'56 Ford Social Group flame-free, so you can be comfortable here.

Please post photos as soon as you can, and feel free to join in as much and as often as you'd like.

    Again, welcome. :)

Welcome Meagan... We are at times optically challenged so we need many pictures of your ride to keep in touch with what a ford looks like! Awwww... we just love seeing the projects! Great bunch of car nuts on here, enjoy the site and you will get a lot of great tips on your build.

Hi Meagan ! So are you in Texas ? As for the fordor , I have always preferred a fordor / mordor /4 door or whatever you want to call it . I have owned many because I never really liked getting out of my car just to let someone crawl into the back seat !
I have a 55 Ford fordor right now and am doing mine in the old skool style that someone would have had in high school . Will be painting it a blue or semi flat black . Haven't made my mind up yet . Right now I am rebuilding the engine and will be running a decent size can , headers , Smithys Mufflers and the hubcaps are "X" bar style .The interior is Mexican blankets right now but I have new black door panels for all fore doors .

Have you thought more about the way you would like yours ? stock , hot rod , mild custom or a dependable daily driver ? You should also have your boyfriend teach you to weld the sheet metal that you need to replace . It really isn't that hard and there are many ladies on the HAMB that do their own welding . Learn and you will enjoy it !
