Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. I have a 55 town sedan, 272 yblock I saw it sitting on a trailer 5 years ago when I was on my way home, pulled over and took a better look at it. Called my hubby and asked if we could buy it. This was the first cl***ic vehicle we ever bought.
It became a project for him and I to work on together. We still have alot of work to do on it but I think we are over the 'halfway hump' at least! During the spring and fall it's a daily driver for me.
We haven't really worked on it as often as we used to, I got pregnant and don't have as much time to go out in the garage. However......my son is a little over 2 now and I think old enough to start dragging him into the garage.
I have a few photos up on my profile, just haven't gotten a chance to post more.
Thank you for the invite to join the group and I look forward to meeting all you!

Welcome! You and your husband have done a great job on your car so far. It's gonna look great...and I bet it already runs well.

I can relate to painting in the garage. I painted one of my cars in a single-car garage, holding the gun behind me as I painted the sides. Turned out fine, as I'm sure yours will.

One note of caution, though. Your hubby's mask is not adequate for today's isocyanate-based acrylic enamels. The one he's using will trap the particles, but won't stop the vapors. He runs a strong risk of permanant nerve damage, so please, please, please buy him a mask with an outside air source. You're both young and have a long, great life together...and a handsome two-year old budding rodder to teach...so please, take care of yourselves.

Glad to have you aboard. Post some more photos of your progress, okay!

    :)

missysdad1, yeah, we were using a hplv gun and it was soooo smokey and misty from all the paint in there. We learned our lesson that day!
