Hey all. i am new to the HAMB, as of last night. i thought i would get on here. sometimes people call me psycho pete. i am from langley and am new to hot rods (less then a year.). i am currently working on my 1966 amc rambler classic. i am pretty excited with the way that it is going. and stoked that i actually have the ability to do it all myself. i have to take some photos of it and stick it up on here. this is my first project, and will not be the last. i have recently redone the interior black and red. did some engine work. i dont know. basic shit. nothing too grand yet. but it looks swell to me. i will be down at the marine or railway club or whichever for the Dragstrip show. so maybe i will see some of you. bye for now.

welcome. to the hamb. I have never liked the look of Ramblers. But I admire anyone who resurrects old tin on their own.
They were the butt of jokes in the 60's. Sorry, I can't change my likes and dilikes. [IMG] Welcome.

Shorten your name...it screws with the proportions of the pages.

  9. Cool. My first car was a 65 Rambler. My mother wasn't too keen on the idea of the whole interior folding down into a bed, though. Also had a 67 Rebel ragtop once upon a time. Welcome!!!

    Welcome - Ramblers are cool.

My first car was a 65 220 Rambler back in 1981 - white with flat black front fenders and 5 lbs of Bondo in the rear quarter. I miss that heap - drove the shit out of it and could never kill it. Mom was the one that told me the front laid out into a bed, I never did ask how she knew.

    Welcome. How about "Psycho Pete"?

  14. I had an old Rambler, but I think it was a later 60's year, just a winter beater for a few months, but it had the greatest dating front seat, folded all the way back to the front of the back seat like a big bed. Made nice place to park with the girlfriend!!!

    Welcome to the HAMB.

Speaking of Ramblers, I always thought those Nash Ramblers that folks shoehorned Caddy motors into would be cool to own.

Props to you for getting into cars, doing stuff on your own, and onto this board. And for being able to admit you have very little experience. Some guys have to be all 'too cool for school' and pretend they know everything.

FTW! thanks big daddy eric. but seriously, how do i change that?

Welcome from Oklahoma, I would think Ramblers would be a great first project. Very basic and easy to work on. Post a pic when you get time, don't get caught up in the drama, and ask questions, thats how to learn and I know of no better place for knowlegde of things automotive than here.
    Again, Welcome

  20. go back and re-register, you only got 2 posts bro, you aint gonna loose nuthin. plus, low posts dont nean shit. any way, welcome

  21. I thought this was someone taking the piss, but it sounds like you're for real. Since you admit to owning a Rambler it is my official duty as the original HAMBer Rambler owner (or the first one to admit it) to say hello. [IMG]

    Here's mine.
