First off may I say thanks to those who started this amazing place, and another heartfelt thank you to all of you who have posted so many interesting and well thought out articles. The wealth of information and your willingness to share is heartwarming. My name is Collin and I'm pushing 60 pretty hard, I tune and repair pianos for a living. Years ago I worked in a sheet metal shop for my father in law and picked up a love of metalworking, not real good at it, just love doin it. My current project is a 1929 Model A two door. With help from my 2 brothers I'm getting ready to chop the top 2-3 inches, that part I think we can muddle through fairly well, but what has me concerned is all the rotted and missing wood. If there is an article on replacing with steel, that someone could point me to, I'd be grateful. Thanks again for a great place
