Hi everyone! I'm a new guy on here but have been lurking here for awhile. I have a 1930 Model A Tudor. I just got this car last year and it has had many mods over the years. I just finished installation of a T-5 trans. I still have the banger motor. It is equipped with a Miller Hi-Speed head, downdraft manifold with a Stromberg 97, header, 4" dropped front axle, de-arched and reversed eyes on the rear spring, 40 Ford hydraulic brakes and 16" 35 Ford wheels.

Now I have a problem. I just got the engine running. I set the valves at .012 as recommended.
When I run the engine I have a lot of clackity- clack noise from the valves. Does anyone have any experience with the head set up? What valve clearance do you recommend?

I'm glad to finally be onboard.

I'm in Bechtelsville, Pa. about 40 miles north of Philly. I got a new camera for Christmas (Samsung) and the darn thing stopped working already, so I can't do pictures right new. I also have to figure out how to post them. There is a lot of Model A guys around here but not much experience with a Miller head.
