I realize that doesn't make much sense but i was on the board before but had to stop coming due to major health issues. Now things are looking brighter on that front and you know how it is, I just can't stay away from old stuff. So now i have a new project I just bought but I am not really sure how it is going to go over here. I have a 1950 F1 ford pickup but it is placed on an V8 S-10 chassis. For me it works because I don't have the time, money and in particular the energy to do major fabrication. However I can do refinements and there is plenty to keep me going for a long time but it is exactly what I want. The chassis is stock with pwr disc brakes and pwr steering which helps me when it is time to repair it. Anyway I still enjoy just reading the board and if nothing else it is good to be back with people who like old school like me. jim

Welcome back to the forum Jim glad your feeling better west of Chicago, sounds like your around the Joliet area
Do you know of any F1 clubs in the midwest?? particularly in western IL and eastern Iowa??? maybe even Wi.
Well hellfire, Hellfirejim, welcome back! Glad your health is returning. I've got a '46 Busness Coupe on a modified S10 chassis and I love it! Check out the social groups, there's one for guy's with old style bodies on newer chassis'...
I went looking and all I could find is bonus built for F1 guys. Anyhelp would be appreciated. peace jim
Glad your health has improved, good to have you back with us. Henrietta the '38 Ford pickup and Ozelle the '55 Ford send friendly horn honks to you and your F1. I like all old trucks, but the F1's, especially the '48-'50 version, are among my favorites.
I agree, the 48-50 version really does it for me. Don't get me wrong I had a 54 with a 430 MEL motor that was great but I like being different. A 48-50 stands out in a sea of 54-56s.
