[ QUOTE ] ramblux has easily pointed out that i have a foot in my mouth, but... sorry for being a homo. i gotta ask: what is the trucks intended use once finished? id imagine it can run like a sports car on the street, but haul**** at the track... it would make an interesting scenerio while pulling into the lumber yard. "what you got??" "a datsun, with a couple mods" was the chassis scratch built?? CAN I DRIVE IT?? [/ QUOTE ] Thanks Plan 9... It's being built just to be built. I saw a yellow 510 on www.bryanf.com a while back and decided that I needed to do something similar with a truck. There probably won't be a bed floor, but I'll know for sure by next week when we throw the bed on. And yes, it was scratch-built, with every joint TIG-welded
Not to change the subject AGAIN (but it really looks like no one give a flying fart about any one subject here ).....so..... Ramblux or OGNC, if you see my buddy Steve with the Yellow Suburban at a show, cruz nite, or just around town would you please make it a point to tell him Denise from Detroit says "Hello" and everything is fine but I do miss him and his lovely wife. Now, back to bashing mini-trucks,or whereever this post was heading.
There's a place in Ryan's heart for MiniTruckers...which is why this thread lives on! That sure explains the DUB'd out Silverado, though!

The closest I came to being a MiniTrucker was when I owned a '75 Datsun p/u in high school 20 years ago...but it was gloss olive drab and had steelies with Porsche*******s! (At which time I belonged to MATD--Mothers Against Truck*****s!!!) And the biggest set of wheels I owned (and still own) were/are 17s on my ring-ring Accord.

I had a '75 Datsun pickup also... You can see it peeking out around the pics of the 41 when I first got it back in '90. Notice the custom bed? The tonneau flipped up to the rear so I could stand in it and put the convertable hard top in the bed. Man, I was the*****!!! RASHY </font>
Okay, but did you have the "maxi" mirror in your Mini? I'm sure you had the regulation Monza tips, right?
<font color="green">Errr... You talking about the damn mirror that went from one side of the windshield to the other? If so, it had one when I got it but it was causing acid flashbacks so I ditched it. Monza tips? No, I had the exhaust break out in two so it had "duals" then put the dual tips on each. A Weber, header and straight pipes going into that exhaust. It really sounded like*****!!! </font>
Yeah, the one that had six reflections of you...sort of like a straight disco ball! I always thought I was being pulled over by a half-dozen cops when the red lights went on! Oh, and for audible effect, I just flipped the air cleaner lid upside-down...
[ QUOTE ] <font color="green">Ya know, This might just be the best DAMN intro, EVER! RASHY </font> [/ QUOTE ]hahah yeah tell me about it. even though it has gone totally off subject but hey it works.

[ QUOTE ] Leader of the MiniTruck Kartel...responsible for the HAMTB Revolution! [/ QUOTE ] And this is why I love Rob -- never too ashamed of his past to bring it up once or 20 times. Of course, I used to work for MiniTruckin' Magazine, so at least he wasn't as deep into it as I was! The "good ol' days" were really the "bad ol' days" for me, at least as far as that job is concerned!
[ QUOTE ] Anybody know where I can get an '87 Nissan HARDBODY, with a BAD BOYZ CLUB sticker on it? [/ QUOTE ] <font color="green">'87? We're talking VINTAGE Jap***** here. SHEESH, some people. RASHY </font>
