Im Justin, I live in Naugatuck CT. A friend just recently introduced me to this forum, I took a look around you guys do some awesome work. I have a passion for all vehicles. I was also one of those kids that took everything apart from lawn mowers to mini bikes to dirt bikes, and now cars, I had to know how it worked. I started working in the garage when I was 16 for my neighbor and I actually still work nights at the garage, 13 years now wow its been a while. He quickly realized I was mechanically inclined and started feeding me more and more work. I never complained, I sure have my share of character building. My boss tried to get me away from cars You can do if for a hobby but dont try to make a living at it. So I went to school for mechanical engineering. Still worked at the shop when I was home. I wanted to design racecars like everyone else and actually could have if I wanted to move. My boss trusts me and always gave me all the odd projects, from Studebakers to old Jaguars, old VW, busses bugs, Old SAABs, Spitfires, Model T. Ive got many of engines running that have sat for long, long time, and rebuilt a lot of things that should never have been rebuilt like taking a window motor and a grinder and some time and making it fit into a head light motor. For a summer I got into a Vintage Race shop. That was a lot of fun, once they knew I knew how to use the welder I spent most of my days in the fab room. Next summer I got into a Chassis shop building feather light modifieds, another fun job. Looking back now kind of wish I just did that from the beginning. Then I graduated, got an engineering degree, still worked for at the first garage at nights. Spent all my extra money on tools, Ive got an extensive set of automotive tools and a growing set of fab tools. I have a lift, tig, mig, torches, plasma, lathe, tubing bender, I always wanted to start a custom fab shop, figure tools are a nice investment so spent a lot of money. Just between real work, and family it is taking me a while to get a shop going, garage keepers insurance is expensive well everything is expensive and I have a lot to lose so right now I only work on family and close friends stuff. One day I hope to retire to a customizing shop have it be offroad or hot rods I like them all. But if your local and need something small Im sure Ill be happy to help you out. Lately Ive got into offroad, just an area that I can be creative, they have competitions which I like the challenge and it started off being cheap. Ive always wanted to get into sheet metal and bodywork Ive just never had the opportunity or knew anyone to train me. Ive fixed quite a few rusty floors but nothing to the detail you guys take. Im very impressed. I think Ill fit in good here. ~Justin
