New to thread, but old into cars

Hi,
Just found this forum and signed up. I've been messing with old cars since the early 60s. Mostly because I could'nt afford new ones. First car was a 55 Ford I paid $35.00 for. Blew it up because I didn't have money to buy oil that day. Have played with sports cars and Mustangs for awhile but am getting back to the older cars. Bought a 46 Ford sedan that at one time had been a pretty decent street rod but the chimpanzee's got hold to it and trashed it, so now I'm trying to put it back together. Will be glad to share my limited experience.

Welcome Jim. Hey, who said there's no inflation? My dad bought me my first car, a 40 ford deluxe coupe that ran for $615.00! Well times have changed. A 46 ford makes a great rod. Hope to see pics as you put her back together.
