just another limmy. this one has only run standard cars (mustang, mecedes, vans etc) although they were all big engine ones. it is now time to jump in at the deep end and build myself a rod. i have in the garage a 283 chevy and powerglide(free),edelbrock tunnel ram and 2 large holly 4 barrel carbs(almost free). the carbs are going to get p***ed on for something more useable.i will be dropping it in a light weight rod(fancy a cut n shut &chopped ford prefect-its in my head) anyone got any help with engine work needed to run the tunnel ram. not for track use, just for street fun and upset the local hot hatch crowd.still fancy useing the PG. engine and trans from '58 impala i was told, will have to check No.s. treat this as total novice and i might get it right first time. also useing this as bonding with my 21 yr old son to make sure does not stray to the dark side-hot hatches. thanks for any help we might get to start things off.
Welcome from Colorado, USA! Cars are a great way to bond with a son! There are posts on anything you will want to know about and gallons of knowledgable car guys! There is a social group for small block Chevys. A 283 with powerglide is a good, reliable combination. Jump into the deep end; a humble novice will do well here. Enjoy the HAMB! ...robber
