First thing first, get the top off of it and it becomes a good looking roadster. After that, getting a bit more rake would improve the look and I would probably decide to paint the frame black, at least I would ask the photoshop gurus to give me a preview of it and look at dropping the grille shell slightly. But let me make myself clear, I would love to have that parked in my garage tonight!
Unfortunately a lot of these changes although good would require blowing it apart to do it right and that ain't gonna happen by me anyway. And chopped tops look cool but are a pain in an old back to drive. So it's unlikely that I'll be changing it much.
So he got 2x the windows and more, he 2x the doors, changed to a two tone paint job (that ain't black and red) and he drives rounds with is cat. The very definition of weird amongst car guys [emoji15][emoji33][emoji14] But other then that a nice guy. Regarding the car yes black would make it better, not so would driving it! I would give it at least a summer before I would change a damn thing. I thought I live in the Danish equivalent of shit creek Missouri, but it might be more like upstate New York [emoji12] nice car, keep at it.
The top lifts off it doesn't fold down so if you leave it home you've got a good chance of being up shits creek haha.
Plenty of black ones around, so if you don't want to stand out, paint it black. Personally I would enjoy it as it is, and do the easy things that don't involve a complete tear down.
I think that a Ford Washington Blue with cream wires would be cool but I'd still have to blow it apart to do the frame etc.
I might do a black primer spot or 2 on it but only with cheap spray can so I could use rubbing compound to remove it when I grew tired of it. I'd have to ditch the hokey whitewall radials first thing and drop the front. I don't care if it got minus 40 degrees, that top would go up in the rafters of my garage 'till November. Exhaust takes away from the pretty lines...it's gotta go too. But it's a great start! Looks like it's a quality build but I'd have to personalize it a little.. congrats.
Yeah I live in the black hills of South Dakota, they say if you dont like the weather wait five minutes(in fact they are calling for snow in the higher hills this weekend today is 5/5/15)any who I built my modified with out any provision for a top. You just have to dress for any situtation.
Beautiful little car...I agree with other posters that it's a bit too monochromatic. I wouldn't cheap out and go black with the suspension and wishbones. A car that shiny woulda had the chrome to go with it. JohnnyA
Yeah there's just a little too much of the blue and white, when I walk out to the garage and look at it I think it ought to be Bruce Jenner's car.
No no a thousand times no leave it this shiny color and let others be "different" and they all go with the CROWDED flat black crowd.
You know Minutia? Dating, married or just friends? You tell her I want my records back!! The roadster? I'd make small changes over the winter to make it mine. Just make sure it's ready to go each spring.
It is yours, but why would one want it to look like someone else's? But that's me, I don't like to blend in.
Good lord like gag me with service for eight. ( or a spoon). I like it the way that it is currently the sleelies and caps was a good choice.
The previous owner was very attached to the wires and knocked of a good bit of cash for me to take the steelies, I didn't argue.
Buy yourself a hat and wear it anytime you're outside. I don't mean a cap, either. One where you can wear it straight forward without following the trend of wearing it ass backward to keep the sun off your neck. You obviously need to protect your brain from further damage. Other than the white walls, I don't see one damn thing wrong with the purty blue paint job on it; and if that flathead runs as good as it looks, run the snot out of it. The most you're going to see of that car behind the wheel is the hood, and that can be taken off during the summer. Winter gets here, you'll like it too much to want to muck it up. Trust me on this one.
