This may be old news but they just hit Wally World here in Oklahoma. Nice set of historic hot rods. Greer\Black\Prudomme Digger, Pierson Bros. Coupe, SoCal Belly Tank, and Agajanian Special which was the last "dirt" car to win at Indy.
Great find on the Hot Wheels, I'll have to give my local Store a visit. I was there Wednesday and bought two of the new deformed Merc's. I was proud of my find until I saw yours. Thi Kat kan't run with the big dogs. Happy Trails, Mick
Mick, Have not seen the little mercs, those are cool. Don't know if you saw my reply in the car show post but I love the fact you are going back traditional on the Merc front end. That is gonna look sweet. btw have you talked to Duke lately? He called Monday and said he was interested in the Caddy but haven't heard since. You guys need a road trip this weekend to lovely Enid America. Tell him I'm in a dealin' mood.
The Hot Wheels 4-car set really was a find. It was produced in 2001, and retailers like Wal-Mart complained that they couldn't sell such a high priced set. Mattel caved and discontinued all the three- and four-car sets, some of which were really nice.
I can't wait to change the front clip. I don't know if it will be ready for next year. ($$$$) So to get me by, I have this sick idea to do somthing with the existing clip that people will either like it or hate it. I don't like it the way it is so how can I go wrong? When I get the photo chop work done, I'll post some pic's. I plan on having the car ready for the Starbird show in Tulsa. I saw Duke Thursday and he was real busy getting ready for his open house at his shop. He brought up your Caddy, so I would say he is still interested. I'll swing by on the way home and I'll let ya know. Happy Trails, Mick Happy Trails, Mick
My local Wal Mart has a stack of that 4-car set. Discontinued huh? Maybe i oughtta go throw down the $20
