I am working on a Posie transverse spring and I want to paint it or have it powder coated. I'm a little worried about the heat it would be exposed to during the powder coating process and having the chance that it might lose some of the temper in the process. I could paint it and grease it beween the leafs. What do you think ?

I've powder coated dozens of springs with no problems.

Powder coating temps wont hurt it, but I usually paint. Regardless of what you do it wont be permanent between the leafs. Springs will always wear the finish off anyway, so that's why I just paint them and grease them.
