It's a 52 3/4 ton. 4 speed trans with a flat bed frame installed. I'd like to find a regular pick up bed. The engine is a 235 with an 848 head. The numbers on it say its a 1959 235. It hasn't ran in a while. There was no oil in the engine. I pulled the plugs, squirted oil in the cylinders and filled up the crankcase. The engine turns easily. After I rebuild the Rochester I'll see if it'll turn over.

First I'd like to see if I can get it running. I have a set of better condition front fenders from a friend. Find a bed. Perform rust control on the cab and drive it for now. I really need to finish a couple other cars first before I dive head first into this one. (But that might just happen anyways...)

I plan on building mine like the Jimmy Smith rendering of the salt flats truck in the Feb 03 cl***ic truck mag.
