Just got this 29 tudor that someone started as a tub . A tree had fallen on it . The door tops have been filled in and are way to wide . ANY ADVICE. I would like to narrow them like a roadster door . And any tech ideas on how to finish the top edge. It was cut above the belt line.
Trim the inner panel down below the outer and fill with a quarter round of tubing. You can look at using different diameters to find just the right profile. You could run tubing through a bender to match the corners of the tub before slicing it to get those parts, also. I was looking at this as a way to finish off a truck cab that had the top lopped off.
Thats what I did, I just used 2 1/4 exhaust pipe and ran it around the car. Look for my car and you might see it in the pics. If you can not find a pic let me know and I will take one.
Maybe I can get some pics up tomorrow of what I have so far. Today has been a sawzall day. Lots of what was that dude thinking . And thats gotta go stuff.
