I'm a new HAMBer, long time car inthusiest. I started out doing air cooled VW's. I've owned over fifty. Even with my early bugs I would weld in a canvas sunroof clip primmer the car run wide whites and a big engine! I've still got a Beetle convertible that's turbo charged and fuel injected. My wife has a Thing that some day I'll turn into a prerunner. My wife and I have raced off road for many years on motocross tracks.
My real love has allways been traditional hot rods. Starting with v-dubs then sports cars onto muscle cars and finally I feel I'm worthy of true roots Hot Rods! My wife now drives a fifty one Chevy Belair true to traditional hot rodding right down to the wide white bias ply tires. I'm now doing a 48 Chevy pickup. It's down to the frame and I'm installing an air ride suspension.
