Been lurking for a while now. Even posted a few times here and there. Anyways, I'm a 29 year old who has grown up around street rods most my life. I have pics of me when I was 3-4 wearing a welding helmet inside a Model A shell. Over the years, my father had a 28 Model A 2 door sedan. Hand built ch***is, 383 stroker, vette rear, chopped, etc. That car went through hell. It came home a week before my parents were married..... Started out on a 4x4 frame with a snow plow hung on the front, then was built up. Went through a garage fire, several mechanical issues to and from a local show we would go to each year. It's final days were sad. It was rear ended one Friday evening. Got the car back, started to rebuild, but never had the heart to finish. So Dad bought a 37 Ford 2 door Slantback Sedan. Just a nice driver. SBC, fatman ch***is. Nothing too special. We drove that car across the country, and even to Canada for my parents 25th wedding anniversary. But dad always wanted a truck. So he found a 39 Ford pickup, a one ton setup. Him and I worked on it until he p***ed in a car accident. The truck sat in the garage until I graduated high school. I then took it to Wyoming for my year training at Wyotech. Brought it back to Indiana, where it spent the next 9 years back in the garage. I moved to NC for a job, but never had a place to store/work on it. Until now! I'm married, three kids, and finally a house! With a garage! I recently brought the truck down here. I'm starting to go through the parts to find out what I have, and what I still need. I have two lowered Ford Rangers that need some attention first, but hoping they won't take too long. I do custom upholstery for a living, been doing it for 9 years now. I love it. Anything from small dealership repairs to full blown, one off customs. Anything from Honda's to Model A's.

Anyways, sorry for the long story. Hope to learn some valuable info (already have!) and hoping to be able to contribute some of my knowledge to the group as well!
