Hello to the wonderful world of the HAMB! I have lurked for what may be a few years now, enjoying the incredible history presented, and the great inspiration and talent displayed in this forum. Lacking anything to contribute, I have kept from registering until now. I still have nothing worthwhile to contribute, but I will be posting a new thread asking for information on a relative's drag car from the 60s. What about me? I grew up on a farm in Iowa, and learned a great deal about cars from my father and an excellent shop teacher. I have owned many cars over the years, including a 65 F-100, 62 Olds 88, and several OT muscle cars. The one I want back is my first car (and of course I never should have sold it!), a 63 Fairlane purchased new by my grandfather - black tudor, stick shift, radio delete and a V8 - just as a Ford should be. Finding it, or a replacement, is on the top of my "someday" list. Right now, 4 kids, a more than full-time job, and a mid-century house that needs money and love will keep me occupied for a while. Not an excuse - just the way it is. Now I will be a good FNG and shut the hell up, and soak up the vibe!
